I had a lovely day out with Hilary at Winterbourne Manor which is a most inspiring Arts and Crafts house and garden in Birmingham. Whilst wandering in the garden we saw these beautiful lime trees. It is so good to be able to appreciate their full glory as I am more used to seeing them chopped into very expensive chunks ready to make my sheep heads. Long may these trees stand.
Still living...

...still life on the workmate!

Spring is in the Air

Despite a cold snap, only ever coldish here on Portland, it is definately starting to feel springlike with hyacinths replacing the Tree indoors and lots of bulbs shooting outside in our micro garden. In side the shop, despite its aura of cold and damp the new Spring flock is taking shape and already a couple have left for new homes across the country.
I got the calender out and have counted the number of weeks until my first event of the year, the Country Living Spring Show in March, and its really not very far away so workwise I am very Spring focused. The new flock of Mirabelles have gorgeous cotton floral undersides, somebody said they are flowery petticoats! I love hidden surprises in my work. I have appliqued hearts and embroidered messages and just written on the calico innercoat of various orders to make truly Ewenique Sheep!

Back to Blog

It has been ages since my last blog as I have been experimenting with Twitter and can only get my head around a limited amount of social media at any one time! I have also been busy making sheep.
It was full on preparing for my sell out Craft in Focus Show at Wisley:
